Woods, Furyk and Daly All Commit to Playing 2007 Buick Open

Tiger Woods, the world's number one golfer, intends to play in the tournament along with Jim Furyk and John Daly.

"Tiger's continued support of the Buick Open makes a tremendous difference for everyone involved with the tournament and for Southeast Michigan charities," said Larry Peck, Buick golf marketing manager. "He is a tremendous partner to Buick who loves to compete at Warwick Hills."

Tiger Woods, 31, can become only the third player in tournament history to win the Buick Open in consecutive years (Tony Lema in 1964-65 and Vijay Singh in 2004-2005 are the others) and only the second player to win the tournament three times (Singh won in 1997). This will be Tiger Woods' sixth consecutive appearance at the Buick Open and ninth overall. He has finished in the top 10 in seven of his previous eight appearances.

Tiger Woods is number one on the official World Golf Ranking and is the PGA Tour's all-time leader in prize money. He is fifth on the PGA Tour's career victory list (57), trailing only Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan and Arnold Palmer.

Furyk, 37, is third on the 2007 official World Golf Ranking and fifth on the PGA Tour's all-time earnings list. He won the 2003 Buick Open and has seven top-10 finishes in 12 career appearances at Warwick Hills. Furyk has 12 career PGA Tour wins, including the 2003 U.S. Open.

Daly, 41, has five career PGA Tour victories including the 1991 PGA Championship, the 1995 British Open Championship and the 2004 Buick Invitational. He finished second to Vijay Singh at the 2004 Buick Open and will be making his seventh appearance at Warwick Hills.

Other early commitments to the Buick Open field include Charles Howell III, John Rollins, Brett Wetterich, Lucas Glover, Trevor Immelman and former Buick Open Champions Woody Austin, Rocco Mediate, Tom Pernice, Jr. and Billy Mayfair. In addition, Bubba Watson, who leads the PGA Tour in driving distance, is also scheduled to be at Warwick Hills.
