Micheel steps up
After beating ending Tiger Wood’s five tournament winning streak, Shaun Michael steps a notch higher in his career as a golf player.
In September 16, 2006, He went the distance for the first time in the World Match Play Championship in Virginia Water, England. He was then put him into the final match against Paul Casey after winning over Robert Karlsson of Sweden for a 2-up victory.
The largest prize a winner could get is amounting to 1 million pounds. Micheel also needs to win and quality for the top 50 in the upcoming World Golf Championship which will be held outside London.
This is the closest he could get to be able to play at the Ryder Cup.
Meanwhile, Ian Poulter of the Madrid Masters made a 20-foot putt at the last hole to shoot an 8-under 64, taking a four-shot lead after the third round in Madrid, Spain. Poulter recorded eight birdies over the final 13 holes to total 19 under 197.
