Wie leads Evian Masters

Hawaiian golf star Michelle Wie ties for lead at Evian Masters in France
Teenage Hawaiian golfing phenomenon Michelle Wie is tied for the lead after the second round of the Evian Masters in France.

Michelle Wie, 16, shot a six-under 66 to lead alongside Mexican golfer Lorena Ochoa and Australian Karrie Webb on nine under par.

Michelle Wie, who finished second with Lorena Ochoa when Paula Creamer won the title a year ago, didn't drop a single shot and she picked up six birdies, however, she missed out on a chance to go even lower, when she missed an easy birdie putt on the 13th and had to settle for a par four.

Michelle Wie also had some luck when her tee shot on the 18th hit a tree because the ball bounced back onto the fairway and she made par to claim a share of the lead.

English woman golfer Karen Stupples was the only player to match Michelle Wie's 66, but she had opened with a 78 and so was still nine shots below the lead.
